The Monkey Company

Year 2007. The project starts with Diego on bass and Tony and Chamo on guitars after several months of thinking about starting a band. At this point, they needed a drummer and after a couple of tryouts Rodro joined the band. With him in the lineup, the project starts to gain and improve quickly having as result the first covers and lots of jam sessions. Meantime, they spend most of the time rehearsing and jamming at Tony’s house garage.

After several months and some good riffs, the company needed a full lineup: they needed a voice. But now entered 2008, one of the founding members, Chamo, makes the decision of leaving the band due to academic reasons. In the tough work of looking for a singer, the company finds Alex Q after months of tryouts. Alex joins the band and the project improve surprisingly fast in quality and seriousness. At this point, the situation and circumstances force the band to leave Tony’s house as rehearsing place. The company moves to Miki’s studio a.k.a. Loft Musical (actually "MCV Producciones").

Both own songs and covers win in quality and sound but at the same time, differences between Alex and the rest of the band members become apparent. A few weeks later, Alex makes the choice of leaving the company and rejoining his previous band. So, like this, in early 2009 is how the company meets Javi, who came to stay.

The Monkey Company was ready. Rehearsal after rehearsal, the band improves in quality and musical creativity, composing five songs in less than five months and recording one of them: "On my way". The rehearsing hours, the stability achieved and the creativity given by each and every member of the band favored the band to step on a stage in the 1st of May of 2009.

In early 2010, The Monkey Company starts recording their first EP consisting of five own songs. This work was presented in May 15th 2009 in Cats Club, Madrid with a great acceptance of people. And play all over the spanish territory.
